One of the weirdest things happened yesterday. Madina Lake was on MTV. They are being corespondents for the VMA's .
It doesn't really bother me, it's just weird.
But it totally works. Madina Lake can be a REALLY commercial band. Come on, the band members are cute, they make catchy songs. It fits.
They thing I like about Madina Lake is that they are so versatile. You can listen to them on a surface level, or you can listen to them on a emotional level.
Most of the bands I like, I can do that with. If you can do that to people, you've got a golden band. If you can "rock out" to music, but you can also FEEL something powerful while you listen to it, well then, you've got something special.
Thank you Saosin, My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, Madina Lake, and everyone else I listen too!

Aw, fuck.
Damn Madina Lake for bringing this confusion onto me.
I was reading AP magazine, the 100 Bands You Need To Know issue, and they were talking about how Madina Lake is based off an imaginary town, blah blah blah.
They were saying how their music could defiantly be enjoyed on a surface level, but there is something there if you want to dig deeper.
Well me, being the productive one that I am, have been trying to figure out this whole "Disappearance Of Adalia" and "Pandora" thing.
And it's utterly confusing me.

Disclaimer: I know I'm a teenie, buuuttt
I was on buzznet, and someone posted this "Top Ten Fantasy Dudes" thing, so I thought I would try it. But mine are a little different than hers.
10. Gene Simmons
Dude, it's Gene Simmons. He's just cool.
9. Prince
HELLO! It's Prince!
8. Rob Zombie
Um, yeah. He's just cool.
7. Blink-182
Whaattt? I like pop-punk.
6. T.I.
Well, ya know, he's hot. And I like his music.
5. Synyster Gates, guitarist for Avenged Sevenfold
First off, he's an amazing amazing amazing guitarist. Second, I think his tattoos are cool.
4. Paolo Nutini
I really really love his music.
3. Steven Smith, from Steven's Untitled Rock Show
You know what? The dude is rad. He's just rad. And I hope you all bask in the gloriousness that is Steven.
2. Matt Rubano, bassist for Taking Back Sunday
Yeah. I think he's cute. I really do. Plus he's short. What's not to love?
1 3/4. Mike Shinoda
Even though I DESPISE Linkin Park (Like truly HATE them.) I like Mike Shinoda. I think he's cool.
1 1/2. Stevie Wonder
*dreamy sigh* Ohh, I love him.
1. Madina Lake
They make awesome music. Enough said.
So there you go. They're not in any order, so don't think I like Madina Lake more than I like T.I. or something.
None of these guys are really my "fantasy" guys, I just admire them.

Welcome To Madina Lake
The band itself sets its music in a town created in the mind of the bass player, Matthew Leone. It is set high in the American mountains, and, isolated from human contact, has remained in a 1950s themed era. The music provides an outlet for the band's views on politics, culture, and the media's obsession with celebrity status. The theme behind the band's music is in relation to the mystery of Adalia. The album artwork shows images of her and the mysteries behind her and the town of Madina Lake.
I adore how Madina Lakes's music is created off an imaginary town. A place to escape into your mind. The places your mind can go are limitless. I, am a hopeless dreamer, so this entirely pleases me, and makes me love Madina Lake.

FUSL # 18
I'm only going to do a couple more of these, because nobody cares about them, so why make them? I just had an overwhelming wave of feeling like a teenie bopper. Ick.
1. Karma Police (Live)
Panic! at the Disco (Radiohead Cover)
Wow, I really like this. I don’t know if I like the Radiohead version or this better. Hmmmm.
2. Best Guitar Solos
Made by: Dragonforceisfav
Holy shit. I practically choked when I heard the Dragonforce guitar solo. Ahhh, Van Halen, AC/DC, and Metallica. Good times. Let me just leave you with two more words: AVENGED SEVENFOLD.
3. Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off (Live)
Shmanic! at the Shmisco (Really Panic! at the Disco, but I found this funny)
They sound surprisingly good here. I guess I’m just in a Panic! at the Disco mood. I haven’t listened to their music in forever.
4. Thrash Unreal
Against Me!
New Wave
5. Sleepers
Saosin
Saosin
Yeah… enough said.
6. You’re Not Alone
Saosin
Saosin
I know this is one of the weaker songs on Saosin’s CD, but for some reason, I adore it. Whenever I hear it I have to belt it out at the top of my lungs. It’s pretty funny actually. ;)
7. Voices
Saosin
Saosin
Yeah, I know, another Saosin song. But this song is really special to me because when I went to Projekt Rev, this was one of the two songs I knew by Saosin. So when they played it, and I was so close to the stage, and there’s just nothing like seeing a band live, AND screaming along the words. So, as I said, this song is really special to me.
This song is completely amazing too. It’s so passionate, and the video is amazingly amazing. Everyone should take a moment to watch this video, and appreciate it.
8. Pandora
Madina Lake
From Them, Through Us, To You
Ok, so first off, sorry about the picture slideshow. Second, I completely adore this song.
9. Here I Stand
Madina Lake
From Them, Through Us, To You
This song is so adorable. This band is adorable too.
10. Apologize
OneRepublic
TBA
Such a beautiful song.
11. Evolution
Korn
Untitled
I really really really like this song.
12. Kiss Of Dawn
HIM
Venus Doom
I’m pretty conflicted about this song. I like it, but I hate it at the same time. I HATE Ville Valo (lead singer). He seems like a self-centered prick to me. Hey, that’s just my opinion.
13. One-Eighty by Summer
Taking Back Sunday
Where You Want to Be
LOVE.
14. Error: Operator
Taking Back Sunday
Louder Now
I *think* they played this at Projekt Rev, I don’t quite remember.
