my brain is in the clouds and my heart is in the music.

Thursday, December 20, 2007

Let us talk about a band.
A band called Say Anything.
This band, has a new CD out.
I was listening to “Surgically Removing The Tracking Device” via YouTube.
My heart felt like it was going to explode out of my chest.
Never have I felt that way about a song.
I wanted to start sobbing, smiling, and screaming all at once. Those lyrics. Those sarcastic, cynical lyrics. Those familiar lyrics.

My heart swelled and burst.
It is now lying on the ground, in pieces…
But yet, I have a smile on my face.
I am head over heels in love.
With that band.

It is hard to get the breaths out, Say Anything has taken them away.

...yaylo.

sup?

oh me, i guess i'm alright. just frustrated with some things in life.

i'm sick and tired of feeling sick tired.

my life is a mess. my brain is a mess.

things are messy.

..................

i'm tired of trying to fit in with them. i'm tired of them making me the butt of every joke. i'm tired of them and their clique-y-ness.

i'm tired of them making fun of me.

if a person doesn't like me, or doesn't want to spend time with me, or is annoyed by me, i would want them to come out and say it.

i'm tired of feeling like the fourth wheel.

i'm a cool person. i'm pretty chill, sarcastic, i have good taste in music, ect. (in my own mind)

if they don't want to be my friend, their fucking loss.

Paramore/The Starting Line/The Almost/ 11-23-07

We got to the doors around six p.m. I had found out my friend Allie was going to the concert also, so I got to cut in line. Yay for cutsies!

Anywho, The Almost was first. I only knew three songs by them, because I have yet to get their CD. They started with "Southern Weather". Aaron's voice sounded so tired and worn out, I feel for the guy. THEIR DRUMMER IS A FUCKING BEAST. I want to BE him. I also wanted to scream out 'Kenny you fucking rule!' but I wasn't quite sure the drummer's name WAS Kenny. (I faintly remember his name being Kenny, but I didn't want to yell it out and be wrong. haha) They ended with "Say This Sooner" and "Amazing Because It Is".

The Starting Line was next. As soon as they started playing, I immediately felt sorry that I didn't know more songs by them. Hearing them live makes me want to buy all of their CDs and listen to them into all hours of the night. Kenny Vasoli (lead singer) actually came out and sung with The Almost too, which was fun. The only song I knew by them, "Island", they played next to last. Kenny sounded absolutely amazing.

And, now onto the headliner. Paramore. They started with "For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic"

Hayley Williams (lead singer) sounded good from what I could hear. I imagine every person in the room was singing along, including moi. I screamed out 'Taylor, you rule man!' at least three times when it was quiet, hoping he would hear me, but alas, he didn't. A ton of people were screaming out 'Hayley I love you!', and me being me, I screamed out 'Hayley I don't love you!'. haha.

Uh, they also played "Fences" and "Let This Go" and of course "My Heart" and "Pressure". I think they also played "Decoy". Paramore's energy on stage is amazing. They all work so well with each other.

And OF COURSE, they played "Misery Business" as the encore. OF COURSE.

The thing was, when I bought the tickets I liked Paramore a lot more. Now, I don't like them so much. They're a fun listen sometimes, but not anything uber powerful or moving. But, whatever.

I have some crappy cell phone pictures and a couple crappy videos, which I'll post later once I go through them throughly.

I don't think I could love this pony more.

Maroon 5- "Won't Go Home Without You"

Thursday, November 15, 2007

I feel bittersweet;

My life is amazing. My horses are amazing, my music is amazing. I'm getting a guitar. I love playing piano.

But, I'm so afraid for my mother.

My mom isn't the healthiest person in the world. She has diabetes, and thyroid problems.

Part of me would die along with her, if I lost her.

My mom means the world to me. She's the most influential person in my life and I can tell her anything and she'll understand.

She's my best friend, and my mommy.

Do you get it?

The Dear Hunter- The Oracles On The Delphi Express

Stick with us, throw your morals out the door
You aren't in the land of the river and the lake no more
Makeshift schemes, we've got plenty here for you
Lock away your dreams and throw away the key

You've been stuck in the middle of patience and animosity
With a lust for solidity, and a cryptic history your lucks running thin

Crimson hands, brandish words which masquerade
If you flee from grace your souls can not be saved
This scene shifts, exits illustrate the flood
Don't be ashamed of your unlawful flaw
When the bombs go off you'll know right where you are

You've been stuck in the middle of patience and animosity
With a lust for solidity, and a cryptic history your lucks running thin

You've been stuck in the middle of patience and animosity
With a lust for solidity, and a cryptic history your lucks running thin

Brand New- The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows

I love me some Brand Nizzle...

Saturday, October 27, 2007

Hello there, the angel from my nightmare
the shadow in the background of the morgue
the unsuspecting victim of darkness in the valley
we can live like Jack and Sally if we want
where you can always find me and
we'll have Halloween on Christmas
and in the night we'll wish this never ends
we'll wish this never ends

(I miss you, miss you)
(I miss you, miss you)

Where are you and I'm so sorry
I cannot sleep, I cannot dream tonight
I need somebody and always
this sick strange darkness
comes creeping on so haunting every time
and as I stared I counted
webs from all the spiders
catching things and eating their insides
like indecision to call you
and hear your voice of treason

Will you come home and stop this pain tonight?
stop this pain tonight

Don't waste your time on me you're already
a voice inside my head (I miss you, miss you)
don't waste your time on me you're already
a voice inside my head (I miss you, miss you)

Don't waste your time on me you're already
a voice inside my head (I miss you, miss you)
don't waste your time on me you're already
a voice inside my head (I miss you, miss you)

Don't waste your time on me you're already
a voice inside my head (I miss you, miss you)
don't waste your time on me you're already
a voice inside my head (I miss you, miss you)

(I miss you, miss you)
(I miss you, miss you)
(I miss you, miss you)
(I miss you, miss you)

Look! I'm alive!

We all get a little less faithful...

---------------------
Sorry about just posting videos, and short journals. I promise, soon, I will write a massively long journal about everything that is going on. I'm really busy. =)

P.S. About the makeup, got bored one day, you know the story. I hardly ever wear makeup anymore, just when I'm bored with my life.

Guns N' Roses- Sweet Child O' Mine

I want to slow dance to this song... mmmmmmm.

Thursday, October 11, 2007

We're just that un-appealing.

We all get a little less faithful.

You keep me growing weak, dear.

Eh. Just writing down some lyrics that I thought of yesterday. Cause' I'll forget em' if I don't write them down.

Avenged Sevenfold- Almost Easy (New Single)

The new single from Avenged Sevenfold's upcoming self-titled album. (Which I'm stoked for)

Personally, I completely adore the song. The guitar and drums are amazing, and the vocals are so much better than on their last album "City Of Evil".

The line "I'm not insane, I'm not--not insane" is a simple lyric, but it can have so much impact. I completely and fully support everything they do. I like all of their records. And I'm excited for their new one.

October 30, 2007. Mark your calenders.

Thursday, October 04, 2007

So, I'm sitting here, it's currently very late at night (1:04 AM to be exact) and I am (was) listening to "1234" by Feist.

And I felt the need to write about a certain band called Avenged Sevenfold.

Or, a7x.

Or, five dudes with the names of, M. Shadows, Johnny Christ, The Rev, Synyster Gates, and Zacky Vengeance.

Or five dudes in a metal band.

Or five dudes in a metal band that guitar riffs make you fall in love.

Or five dudes in a metal band that guitar riffs make you fall in love, AND the drums make you fall in lust.

Whatever you want to call them.

I haven't felt this way about a band in forever. Not since My Chem, who I haven't listened to in forever. I miss you My Chemical Romance!

They introduced me to a whole new genre of music. Before them, I didn't even know a guitar could sound that way.

I didn't know drums could sound like gunshots.

I didn't know five dudes could make music that amazing.

I didn't know five guys could change their hair color that often.

They remind me so much of Iron Maiden, it's not even funny. And I only know, what? Three songs by Iron Maiden?

There's no real point to this, other than me wanting to thank the guys, who, probably, made my life the tiniest bit better.

I have fallen in love with your music. With your guitar. With your drums.

I love you. I love you so much for making music this way.

I love you. I love you. I love--.

Yeah. I'll stop now.
If one of the guys from Avenged Sevenfold happen to stumble upon here thinking it's porn, thank you. so fucking much.

Have I mentioned I love you guys?

I'm so very sorry I'm neglecting this blog.

I've been writing a whole lotta reviews on my other blog, Music Frees.

I rather hate the name of that, but whatever.

However, once some shit in my life happens (For example, Paramore concert) and I get my head out of my ass, I'll write about some shit.

I hope this was of some amusement to you.

I also feel that you should know, Avenged Sevenfold will someday rule the earth.

New video by them will be posted tomorrow.

Note to self: "Finding the taste of chaos"

Tuesday, September 25, 2007

Big Freaking News!

I'm going to see Paramore, The Almost, The Starting Line, and****E%Dfgz in concert!!!

I'm so excited. And, I'm taking my best friend Travis with me. She's not really into Paramore, she's a little more hiphop/rap, but she's still excited. It's her first concert.

We should have a blast.

Other than that, I'm obsessed with a band called Leathermouth and a band called The Color Fred. Both side projects of people from bands I already like. Leathermouth is the side project of Frank Iero, My Chemical Romance's rhythm guitarist. The Color Fred is the side project of Fred Maraschino, lead guitarist for Taking Back Sunday.

Monday, September 17, 2007

Hmmmm. It's been a little while hasn't it?

Well. I have been busy. With my horses. With music. With my life.

And with two other blogs.

Yes, I know, and I'm sorry.

I finally got a Buzznet, so I have been busy with that.

And, I made a music blog on here. I review, post new videos, and whore out artists I love.

Requiem For A Dream

Disturbing. But amazing.

It just shows you how much drugs can ruin people's lives. They all had dreams. But that went downhill when the characters became so addicted that they would do anything for a high. Jared Leto and Jennifer Connelly were SUPERB in this movie. As was Marlon Wayans. And Ellen Burstyn. Fantastic acting all around.

It's brutal to watch, but the editing on the film is AMAZING. Watch it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This ranks up there as one of the three most powerful movies I have ever seen in my lifetime (Full Metal Jacket and Grave of The Fireflies being the other two). This movie shows the brutal honest side of addiction and over-indulgence. Not just drugs, although it heavily shows drug addiction. Also shows how one addiction can lead to another and how damaging it can be for you. I watched this alone, and felt so stunned afterwards, I had to call a friend just to calm my nerves. Seriously, this is a brutal (one more time) BRUTAL film. The acting is wonderful - Ellyn Burnstyn and Jenniffer Connely are just wonderful in this movie, and Wayons was such a shocker in a serious role. Everyone must watch it, for it's entertainment value, and more importantly, it's educational value. But it leaves chills down your spine for it's honesty and unforgiving lessons.

What if I wanted to break? Laugh it all off in your face. What would you do?

The Kill (Bury Me)
30 Seconds To Mars
A Beautiful Lie

From Yesterday
30 Seconds To Mars
A Beautiful Lie

Yeah, it's ten minutes.

Um, so, is it bad that I'm starting to really like 30 Seconds To Mars? I don't know. But, I'm posting the FULL versions of BOTH videos, because the videos are amazing and I love them. Do I really need a reason at 4:41 AM?

There is one man that I tend to get alll teenie over....

Can you guess who he is?

ROBERT BARTLEH CUMMINGS

aka, ROB ZOMBIE!

Me + not being able to sleep + the tv + the sauce = me seeing Rob Zombie on The Sauce. And him getting even more admiration from me!

I couldn't find a video. I'm so sorry. I'll just settle for posting two of the videos they played on that episode:

White Zombie- thunder kiss 65

Add to My Profile | More Videos
The reason why it's a myspace video is that youtube didn't have it. And I was determined to post it.

Uggg, Damnit! I can't find the video for "When Doves Cry" by Prince. Just go listen to that song.

You may wonder why I sound so scattered and, well, downright weird. It's 4:33 AM, and I got barely any sleep. Good times.

Tuesday, September 04, 2007

This is what I randomly blurted out today:

Me: I want to wear fingerless gloves.

Mom: Ok, Michael Jackson.

Me: Hey! Don’t diss Michael Jackson! He’s the shiiii, shizzmat!

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Only because my father was there. I couldn’t curse.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Oh, Damn.

Again, I say, oh damn.

I like a Linkin Park song. OHHHHH, DAMN!

Bleed It Out
Linkin Park
Minutes To Mindnight

APOCALYPSE!

Quietdrive vs. Saosin vs. Matchbox 20

Hmmmmm. Who will win? They all covered the song "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper. Who did it better?

Quietdrive- Time After Time

Saosin- Time After Time

Matchbox 20- Time After Time

My favorite would have to be the Quietdrive version (Well, of course besides the Cyndi Lauper version). I think the lead singer's voice suits it the best. I love Rob Thomas's (lead singer of Matchbox 20) voice, but I think it doesn't suit the song.

I know, I know, big shocker that I didn't pick the Saosin version. I was suprised too. :)

Cyndi Lauper- Time After Time

ETA: I love the shirt that Cove Reber (lead singer of Saosin, get with the program) is wearing in the Saosin video. I want it. Crap. (Dude, that was weird. I'm starting to hate not cursing) Who wants to snag it for me? Coommmee onnn, it's a rad shirt! Please? *puppy dog eyes*

Last post of the day. I promise.

I shall say it again.

Heroes is...

SUPERAWESOME!

Masi Oka's character "Hiro Nakamura" is the most amazing thing ever.

Milo Ventimiglia's character "Peter Petrelli" is the second most amazing thing ever.

Again, dreamer in me satisfied. Completely.

My life without you in it, is a life that's not worth living.

One of the weirdest things happened yesterday. Madina Lake was on MTV. They are being corespondents for the VMA's .

It doesn't really bother me, it's just weird.

But it totally works. Madina Lake can be a REALLY commercial band. Come on, the band members are cute, they make catchy songs. It fits.

They thing I like about Madina Lake is that they are so versatile. You can listen to them on a surface level, or you can listen to them on a emotional level.

Most of the bands I like, I can do that with. If you can do that to people, you've got a golden band. If you can "rock out" to music, but you can also FEEL something powerful while you listen to it, well then, you've got something special.

Thank you Saosin, My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, Madina Lake, and everyone else I listen too!

Heroes is...

SUPERAWESOME!

My dad and I were at Best Buy, beacuse I cleaned two bathrooms, there for I got two CDs.

We also got Season 1 of Heroes, and I just watched the first episode. Hence forth, SUPERAWESOME!

And about the CDs, I got "City Of Evil" by Avenged Sevenfold (FINALLY!) and "From Them, Through Us, To You" by Madina Lake! I'm very happy. I finally got two CDs I really wanted. I'm going to try to get more money, so next weekend I can buy "Louder Now" by Taking Back Sunday, that Rooney CD, or "Icky Thump" by The White Stripes. :)

Here is all the CDs I have now:

"9"- Damien Rice
"Pinkerton"- Weezer
"Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge"-
My Chemical Romance
"The Black Parade"- My Chemical Romance
"Don't You Fake It"- The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
"Saosin"- Saosin (I bought it at Projekt Rev, their merch guy was a jackass)
"City Of Evil" -Avenged Sevenfold
"Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!"- HelloGoodbye
"From Them, Through Us, To You"- Madina Lake
"Infinity On High"- Fall Out Boy
"From Under The Cork Tree"- Fall Out Boy
"My Heart Will Always Be The B-side To My Tounge"- Fall Out Boy
"Take This To Your Grave"- Fall Out Boy
"A Fever You Can't Sweat Out"- Panic! at the Disco
"Echoes: The Best Of Pink Floyd"- Pink Floyd
"Prince: Ultimate"- Prince
"Lauryn Hill: MTV Unplugged"- Lauryn Hill
"Begin To Hope"- Regina Spektor
"Sky Blue Sky"- Wilco
"Foiled"- Blue October
"Help!"- The Beatles
"Corinne Bailey Rae"- Corinne Bailey Rae
"Pablo Honey"- Radiohead
"RIOT!"- Paramore
"All We Know Is Falling"- Paramore

I also have "Love" by The Beatles and the Rent Broadway Soundtrack on my ipod. A lot of these CDs I swiped from my Dad and Mom. Corrine Bailey Rae, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Regina Spektor was swiped from the parents. I soon won't have Fall Out Boy anymore, because I'm loaning them to Travis. I don't listen to them and she does. Win, win.

Death Cab For Cutie- I Will Follow You Into The Dark

Love of mine some day you will die
But I'll be close behind
I'll follow you into the dark

No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
Just our hands clasped so tight
Waiting for the hint of a spark
If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the NOs on their vacancy signs

If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark

In Catholic school as vicious as Roman rule
I got my knuckles bruised by a lady in black
And I held my tongue as she told me
"Son fear is the heart of love"
So I never went back

If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the NOs on their vacancy signs

If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark

You and me have seen everything to see
From Bangkok to Calgary
And the soles of your shoes are all worn down
The time for sleep is now
It's nothing to cry about
Cause we'll hold each other soon
The blackest of rooms

If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the NOs on their vacancy signs

If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark
Then I'll follow you into the dark

Such a beautiful song... I love it.

The Phrase The Pays.

I feel the need to talk about a band called The Academy Is. I don't know why. I just feel the need.

Or more specifically, the lead singer's voice.

I like The Academy Is. But something is stopping me from loving them, and I think I have an idea why.

I am starting to hate the lead singer's voice. I really want to like it. I do. I like the lyrics and the guitar and drums, everything, but the lead singer's voice. It is starting to annoy the crap out of me. Sometimes I listen to TAI, and I love everything, but other times, William Beckett's (lead singer, if you hadn't caught on) voice makes me cringe.

I don't know. I just felt like writing.

You be the judge. Here is TAI's myspace.

This happens to me with a lot of bands. It makes me sad. It's the reason I can't really listen to Cute Is What We Aim For, or Armor For Sleep.

This love has taken it's toll on me.

Ok so, I felt the need to explain this whole hiatus/apocalypse.

I have been feeling so frazzled lately. I mean, my room is a mess, my schoolwork is a mess, the way I look is a mess, basically, I'm a mess.

I'm not even reading books anymore. I used to love to read. I feel the need to write. Not ranting about Fall Out Boy and certain dickhead members of Fall Out Boy, but to write! DEEP thoughts. Read and write.

The REALLY LOUD music is wearing me down. The incessant cursing is wearing me down. The way my life is, is so completely wearing me down.

That doesn't mean I will never listen to metal, punk, or screamo again. I don't even think I COULD do that. I adore that kind of music, and it is so entirely ME.

I just need a break from it.

I need peaceful.
I need indie.
I need Wilco.
And Bright Eyes.
I need to maybe SLEEP once in a fricking while.

I have been so emotional lately, and I'm TIRED OF IT.

Tired.
I'm sorry. But the hiatus/apocalypse has to start tomorrow.

My brother is annoying the SHIT out of me.

I need metal. And I need it now.

Fucking fuck fuck.

Geez.

Oh, wow. The apocalypse has come.

I'm tired of cursing. I'm tired of metal and screamo and punk. I'm tired of loud.

It's wearing me down.

I'm taking a hiatus from cursing and loud music.

Indie it is. Death Cab For Cutie, Wilco, The Decemberists, Damien Rice, Radiohead, The Shins, Bright Eyes, ECT.

Maybe a little of The Format, The Matches, and The Higher for a little variety.

-Fracky
Aw, fuck.

Damn Madina Lake for bringing this confusion onto me.

I was reading AP magazine, the 100 Bands You Need To Know issue, and they were talking about how Madina Lake is based off an imaginary town, blah blah blah.

They were saying how their music could defiantly be enjoyed on a surface level, but there is something there if you want to dig deeper.

Well me, being the productive one that I am, have been trying to figure out this whole "Disappearance Of Adalia" and "Pandora" thing.

And it's utterly confusing me.

Disclaimer: I know I'm a teenie, buuuttt

I was on buzznet, and someone posted this "Top Ten Fantasy Dudes" thing, so I thought I would try it. But mine are a little different than hers.

10. Gene Simmons
Dude, it's Gene Simmons. He's just cool.

9. PrinceHELLO! It's Prince!

8. Rob Zombie
Um, yeah. He's just cool.

7. Blink-182
Whaattt? I like pop-punk.

6. T.I.
Well, ya know, he's hot. And I like his music.

5. Synyster Gates, guitarist for Avenged Sevenfold
First off, he's an amazing amazing amazing guitarist. Second, I think his tattoos are cool.

4. Paolo Nutini
I really really love his music.

3. Steven Smith, from Steven's Untitled Rock Show
You know what? The dude is rad. He's just rad. And I hope you all bask in the gloriousness that is Steven.

2. Matt Rubano, bassist for Taking Back Sunday
Yeah. I think he's cute. I really do. Plus he's short. What's not to love?

1 3/4. Mike Shinoda
Even though I DESPISE Linkin Park (Like truly HATE them.) I like Mike Shinoda. I think he's cool.

1 1/2. Stevie Wonder
*dreamy sigh* Ohh, I love him.

1. Madina Lake
They make awesome music. Enough said.

So there you go. They're not in any order, so don't think I like Madina Lake more than I like T.I. or something.

None of these guys are really my "fantasy" guys, I just admire them.

The Used- All That I've Got

I think this is like the third time I have posted this song. I just love it so much, and it cheers me up.

So deep that it didn't even bleed and catch me

I'll be be just fine pretending I'm not

30 Seconds To Mars- The Fantasy

Do you live, do you die, do you bleed for the fantasy?

The Sounds- Tony The Beat

Gerard Way Singing "Umbrella" By Rihanna

This cheers me up a slight bit. :)
My rabbit had to be put to sleep today. She had lung cancer.

As I was saying goodbye to her, a Smashing Pumpkins song came on the radio. When my mom came over, "Hey There Delilah" by Plain White T's came on the radio. It's Chloe's song now.

Bye girlie girl. I love you.

Hey there Delilah
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear it's true

Hey there Delilah
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice it's my disguise
I'm by your side

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me

Hey there Delilah
I know times are getting hard
But just believe me girl
Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar
We'll have it good
We'll have the life we knew we would
My word is good

Hey there Delilah
I've got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I'd write it all
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me

A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they've got planes and trains and cars
I'd walk to you if I had no other way
Our friends would all make fun of us
and we'll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Delilah I can promise you
That by the time we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you're to blame

Hey there Delilah
You be good and don't you miss me
Two more years and you'll be done with school
And I'll be making history like I do
You'll know it's all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there Delilah here's to you
This ones for you

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me.

I don't consider myself to be a particularly "angry" person, but do you realize how many good names there are to call people? For example:

Dipshit
Asshat
Asshole
Prick
Dickhead

So on and so forth.

No real point to this post. I just felt like cursing.

Plus, I suggest you check out the song "It's Much Better To Learn" by Saosin. And "Shut Me Up" by Mindless Self Indulgence. I could go on and on.

Aw shit. A Hawthorne Heights song just came into my head. I hate them.

I was watching Steven's Untitled Rock Show this morning, and Steven was interviewing Gerard Way. One of the questions was "If you could ask anything to your fans, what would it be?" He answers "What does My Chemical Romance mean to you?"

I thought about that for a good while.

First off, I like music that makes me feel something ridiculously overwhelming when I listen to it. Whether it be sadness, happiness, amusement, whatever. My Chemical Romance does that to me. For example, when I listen to Welcome To The Black Parade, my heart explodes with emotion. I sit there and I think "How do people make music like this? How can a band make a song that is so moving that you want to cry every time you hear it? How can a song make you feel so overwhelmingly sad and happy at the same time?" Few songs do that to me. "Voices" by Saosin does it.

My Chem has changed my life completely. I am eternally grateful.

Before I go, let me write a quick bit about Saosin. You guys have made me so happy in the short time I have been a fan.

You know what won me over? Your passion, your energy at the show I went to. You guys were amazing, and made that moment so special for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Welcome To Madina Lake

The band itself sets its music in a town created in the mind of the bass player, Matthew Leone. It is set high in the American mountains, and, isolated from human contact, has remained in a 1950s themed era. The music provides an outlet for the band's views on politics, culture, and the media's obsession with celebrity status. The theme behind the band's music is in relation to the mystery of Adalia. The album artwork shows images of her and the mysteries behind her and the town of Madina Lake.

I adore how Madina Lakes's music is created off an imaginary town. A place to escape into your mind. The places your mind can go are limitless. I, am a hopeless dreamer, so this entirely pleases me, and makes me love Madina Lake.

Amazing amazing amazing interview with Saosin.

That's it. Saosin has now taken over my life.

Saosin Interview

Gahhh. I love them.

Though, I do like some Fueled By Ramen bands. Hey, we all have our guilty pleasures, right?

Who are we kidding. I like most Fueled By Ramen bands.

That just means I have diverse taste in music. I like punk. Heavy Metal. Rock. Pop. Screamo. R&B. EVERYTHING.

I am freakishly picky about my pop though. It's odd. I'm odd.

I feel like a teenie now. One thing though, I'M NOT GOING TO CHANGE MY TASTE IN MUSIC SO PEOPLE WILL LIKE ME. I HAVE DONE THAT FOR TOO LONG. I AM NO LONGER GOING TO DO THAT.

Whoa. Caps overload.

So yeah. Sorry Saosin. You can't help what you like and don't like. Me, I like pretty much everything. If I ever met you guys (properly) you probably wouldn't like me. It would be cool if you did, and I wish you would, but you probably wouldn't. It's the truth.

Wow. I have completely gotten off the subject. Read the interview.

FUSL # 18

I'm only going to do a couple more of these, because nobody cares about them, so why make them? I just had an overwhelming wave of feeling like a teenie bopper. Ick.

1. Karma Police (Live)
Panic! at the Disco (Radiohead Cover)

Wow, I really like this. I don’t know if I like the Radiohead version or this better. Hmmmm.

2. Best Guitar Solos
Made by: Dragonforceisfav

Holy shit. I practically choked when I heard the Dragonforce guitar solo. Ahhh, Van Halen, AC/DC, and Metallica. Good times. Let me just leave you with two more words: AVENGED SEVENFOLD.

3. Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off (Live)
Shmanic! at the Shmisco (Really Panic! at the Disco, but I found this funny)

They sound surprisingly good here. I guess I’m just in a Panic! at the Disco mood. I haven’t listened to their music in forever.

4. Thrash Unreal
Against Me!
New Wave

5. Sleepers
Saosin
Saosin

Yeah… enough said.

6. You’re Not Alone
Saosin
Saosin

I know this is one of the weaker songs on Saosin’s CD, but for some reason, I adore it. Whenever I hear it I have to belt it out at the top of my lungs. It’s pretty funny actually. ;)

7. Voices
Saosin
Saosin

Yeah, I know, another Saosin song. But this song is really special to me because when I went to Projekt Rev, this was one of the two songs I knew by Saosin. So when they played it, and I was so close to the stage, and there’s just nothing like seeing a band live, AND screaming along the words. So, as I said, this song is really special to me.

This song is completely amazing too. It’s so passionate, and the video is amazingly amazing. Everyone should take a moment to watch this video, and appreciate it.

8. Pandora
Madina Lake
From Them, Through Us, To You

Ok, so first off, sorry about the picture slideshow. Second, I completely adore this song.

9. Here I Stand
Madina Lake
From Them, Through Us, To You

This song is so adorable. This band is adorable too.

10. Apologize
OneRepublic
TBA

Such a beautiful song.

11. Evolution
Korn
Untitled

I really really really like this song.

12. Kiss Of Dawn
HIM
Venus Doom

I’m pretty conflicted about this song. I like it, but I hate it at the same time. I HATE Ville Valo (lead singer). He seems like a self-centered prick to me. Hey, that’s just my opinion.

13. One-Eighty by Summer
Taking Back Sunday
Where You Want to Be

LOVE.

14. Error: Operator
Taking Back Sunday
Louder Now

I *think* they played this at Projekt Rev, I don’t quite remember.

I did what?

Ok so, for the first time, in my fan fiction reading history, someone has used my name as the lead character.

So the entire time I'm like:

I did what?
I fucked WHO?
I said that?

Wow. Just. wow.

-Fracky

P.S. Again, yes, I read Fan Fiction. It really doesn't matter to me that in the stories there are "famous" musicians. I like them because there are some GOOD writers out there. It's just like reading a book, that the characters happen to have the same name as guys in bands.
DAMN SAOSIN. again.

They have no tour dates near me.

Uggg, I really wanted to see them again along with Alexisonfire and Norma Jean.

I really really like Saosin's music. They were so cool live. Damn.

Scratch that.

I really really LOVE Saosin's music, and they sound good live. As oposed to My Chem, who sounded horrible live.

I have a new favorite band.
DAMN SAOSIN.

For making their song "You're Not Alone" STUCK IN MY FUCKING HEAD.

Daaaammmnn.

Projekt Revolution- My Merch

Yeah I know. Saosin totally roped me in. The guitar pick was free though.

Projekt Revolution- SAOSIN!

Sorry about all the pictures of Saosin. We got so many good ones that I didn't want to pass any up. I have a couple that I didn't post. :) Go look at my other picture posts and my recap of the concert.

Saosin was seriously the highlight of the concert for me. Fuck My Chemical Romance. I loved Saosin the most. I was so freakin close to the stage that a crowd surfer came my way and my mom pulled me away from it. :( Damn you mom.

One of the dudes from Saosin signing my CD. Keep in mind, I don't really know all of their names or what instruments they play. I wasn't a big fan up until yesterday. :)

Saosin signing.

Some Saosin spit action on my CD. God, I'm such a nerd.

That's a great picture.

Projekt Revolution 8/19/07

Oh. my. fucking. god.

Amazing. Just. Amazing.

I'll start from the beginning. We're waiting for the gates to open, and the guy behind us is REALLY cute. Like, REALLY REALLY cute. Redhead, lip piercing, Taking Back Sunday t-shirt, the whole nine yards. Uber hyper, starts talking to his girlfriend, talking about concerts they had been too. He starts on about Green Day, and bad-mouthing them. The cute guy then realizes I'm wearing a Green Day hat apologizes, and PATS my head. :)

On to when we get in there. We had this whole ordeal about not being able to bring in backpacks, but my mom needs her backpack, because it has her medical supplies in it. Let me just say, my mom is badassssss. We totally got to bring in the backpack. :)

NOW, on to the bands I saw. We missed most of Madina Lake, but what I heard was awesome. We were so FLIPPING close to the stage, it was so awesome. Styles Of Beyond was AMAZING! Mike Shinoda (from Linkin Park) came on stage and rapped with them. I danced, screamed, and waved my hand in the air like I just didn't care. :)

Didn't get to see The Bled, because my mom got really hot, so we went over to shade, while they performed.

Now, on to one of the many big kahunas. SAOSIN. I went in there only knowing two songs by them. They were FUCKING AMAZING! I was so close to the stage, got some great photos of the lead singer.

Then, we went over to were Saosin was having a signing, and waited in line for about an hour. There was a dude going up and down the line selling Saosin CDs and I got one for ten bucks.

But, now on to the part that made my entire day. I got my Saosin t-shirt and CD (That I bought today, mind you) signed by ALL OF SAOSIN. FUCK YEAH. The bass player smiled at me, (Hee hee) and the lead singer winked and said "hey sweetie" to my MOM. Yeah. PLUS, the first guy from the Saosin (sorry, I can't tell them apart, or their names, or what instrument they play) put my CD in his mouth to hold it while he signed the t-shirt. I totally have Saosin spit on my Saosin CD. Chyea. lol.

So while all of this was going on, Mindless Self Indulgence was performing. I REALLY REALLY liked them. Plus, also while we were waiting in line, Madina Lake was doing a signing, so I was like six or seven feet away from them. Plus, a guy from Madina Lake looked at me. :)

We got up to the main stage in the middle of Julien-k. I REALLY liked them. Placebo I didn't like at all, HIM I didn't really like either. Taking Back Sunday was REALLY REALLY cool.

But on to the BIG kahuna. My. Chemical. Romance.

I screamed SO loud when they came on. I'm seriously going to have no voice tomorrow, because I screamed, and sang along to every song. I jumped, danced, head-banged, you name it. I looked like an COMPLETE idiot. But, on the main stage, we had lawn tickets, so we were REALLY far away from the stage. Saosin, Mindless Self Indulgence, Styles Of Beyond, The Bled, and Madina Lake were on the Revolution Stage, and you can go anywhere you want. That how we got so close.

Yeah. Gerard Way sounded like shit, but it was fun anyway. A guy was wearing the same Avenged Sevenfold shirt as me. Um, what else. I don't know. I think that's it.

My throat hurts, my head hurts, and I'm exhausted, but I had a blast. Saosin is now in my top three favorite bands, and I have a tiny crush on the lead singer. I know, just stamp HYPOCRITE across my ass.

Pictures tomorrow. I'm too damn tired now.

-fracky :)

Just take a look at that:

The Young Wild Things Tour

You know I wanna go. With all my hard feelings about Fall Out Boy and Pete Wentz, It would still be cool to see them and Gym Class Heroes, Plain White T's, and Cute is What We Aim For.

All the live performances I saw on TV by Fall Out Boy, have really SUCKED. So if I go to this, hopefully none of the bands will suck.

I would have to go to the concert with my mom. Don't know how much she will like it. :)

Fart Out Boy- Sugar, We're Goin Down

Am I more than you bargained for yet
I’ve been dying to tell you anything you want to hear
Cause that’s just who I am this week
Lie in the grass next to the mausoleum
I’m just a notch in your bedpost
But you're just a line in a song
(A notch in your bedpost, but you're just a line in a song)

Drop a heart and break a name
We’re always sleeping in, and sleeping for the wrong team

We’re going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we’re going down swinging
I’ll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

We’re going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we’re going down swinging
I’ll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

Is this more than you bargained for yet
Oh don't mind me I'm watching you two from the closet
Wishing to be the friction in your jeans
Isn’t it messed up how I’m just dying to be him
I’m just a notch in your bedpost
But you're just a line in a song
(Notch in your bedpost, but you're just a line in a song)

Drop a heart and break a name
We’re always sleeping in, and sleeping for the wrong team

We’re going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we’re going down swinging
I’ll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

We’re going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we’re going down swinging
I’ll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

Down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we’re going down swinging
I’ll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

We’re going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we’re going down swinging
I’ll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

We’re going down, down
(Down, down)
Down, down
(Down, down)
We're going down, down
(Down, down)

A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

We’re going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we’re going down swinging
I’ll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

God, I feel like such a hypocrite. But, I have to say, Fall Out Boy still does it to me. When I hear one of their songs, I still feel a little weak. The bass line in Dance, Dance still makes me go insanely weak. Patrick Stump's vocals in I've Got All This Ringing In My Ears And None On My Fingers still makes me smile.

As much as I really hate the band members (coughPeteWentzcough), and I KNOW that they don't make the best music in the world, something about their music just... makes me go weak sometimes. Other times, I sneer (FTW?) and and say, well, I don't know. But you catch my drift. I hope.

I know you guys are probably REALLY fucking tired of me ranting about Fall Out Boy, and their music, and Pete Wentz, and how I feel about the band, but I hope you understand. Fall Out Boy has put me through such shit, and made me feel such SHIT. Pete Wentz especially. It's just been *mostly* a shitty relationship. I remember the happy times, when I *thought* (thought being the key word) I was in love with Pete. I admired the band members whole-heartedly, I respected them, I adored the music that they made. I listened to it all the time. I stood up for them, because everyone I knew hated them. Yes, in my naive mind, I loved them.

But on to the song that I posted above. The sad thing is, I can STILL recognize it by it's opening chords. Yep. It was over played so much, that I find it annoying. But, when I actually take the time to listen to it, I find myself loving the vocals and lyrics. The guitar still annoys me a bit.

As you can see, I was put through a tad bit of shit with this band. I sometimes find myself hating the fact that, one tiny band, one stupid person, have so much, I don't know, control over my feelings. People I have never MET.

So, Fart Out Boy, go on with your selling out. I hope you enjoy it.

I hope you aren't completely bored reading this. :(

Self-Inflicted Violence is NOT something to be taken lightly. If you or someone you know is struggling with SIV, help can be found at www.myspace.com/towriteloveonherarms or http://twloha.com/. Stop the bleeding. Believe your voice can mean something.

It is estimated that 15% or roughly 17 million Americans suffer from depression.

It affects rich and poor, young and old, black and white.

2/3 are never treated.

They do not recognize the illness, and see it as a weakness or personality flaw.

Untreated depression is the most common cause of suicide.

In Australia, New Zealand and Japan, there are more suicides than murders.

Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people.

Depression is treatable.

Cutting was very much a mystery until 1996 when Princess Diana admitted that she had struggled with it.

Self Injurers use physical pain as an attempt to calm or numb the psychological pain or stress. They injure the outside in an attempt to release the pain on the inside.

Self Injury is an attempt to stop the hurting, an attempt to be clean.

Self injurers and addicts seek the familiar, even if its pain. This is completely foreign to most people.

Self injurers believe pain is their only option, using greater external pain as a relief from the pain inside.

There is hope.
